I’m not sure whether attending the Centre is really for me. Can I come along and try it for a day?
Yes of course, either come for the whole day or pop in for coffee or just come and have a look round.
How old do I have to be to attend?
Our clients range from around 70 years upwards.
I think my father might benefit from attending but I’m not sure how to raise the subject. Can you help?
It’s natural for the elderly to be unsure – we can speak with you and your father together and outline the benefits.
Do I have to attend every day or can I choose which days to attend?
If we are required to provide transport we may have to decide which day you would be able to attend, otherwise you may come in whenever you wish.
How much does it cost to attend?
The cost per day is £30 per client.
I don’t have any transport. How would I get to and from the Centre?
Assisted Transport can be provided to pick up and return at a cost of £15.
What meals does the Centre provide and do you cater for special dietary requirements?
We provide freshly cooked meals and are able to cater for special dietry requirements.
My mother is quite a private person – does she have to join in all the activities?
Clients can join in with whatever activities they feel comfortable with, however we do try to encourage our clients to take part.
How many clients attend the Centre each day?
On average around 20-25 per day.
My parent suffers from Alzheimer’s – could she attend the Centre?
We cater for early stages of dementia.
The elderly lady I care for needs some help with her benefits – could you help?
